The Sea Lawns in Ogmore by Sea was once a thriving pub and hotel, and a valuable community asset.
It was threatened with demolition to be replaced by a block of luxury flats.
The Planning Authorities have been working on the application since February -
Many thanks to everyone who voiced their opinions so strongly, those who helped with the newsletters, those who truned up to the meetings. Our views were well presented and in the end reflected the opinion of the Planning Committee.
Over 200 letters and e mails were sent to Steve Ball at the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
Overwhelming they were against the proposed development on two grounds
1) The Sea Lawns was the last pub in the village and a valuable community asset
2) No one wanted another intrusive block of flats on the beautiful Heritage Coast
